MARVIN WEST
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
I am Marvin West the CEO of Open Hands of Caring Penn Foundation. I have dedicated my career for over 15 years to helping individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to reach their maximum potential. I have opened and restructured several behavioral homes to fit the needs of the individuals I serve and have served. I have built great rapport with individuals, families, caregiver, day support, community supports. He directs a staff of over 100 and 8 residential homes, 2-day services as well as numerous individuals living out in the community independently. As Executive Director of Open Hands of Caring Penn Foundation, I am geared towards creating a model residential and supported living homes that promotes independence and community connections. I have learned my DSPATHS (under the Ohio Alliance Direct Support Professionals) credential in the CIP level, PATHS certification for working with individuals with Autism (which is earned through Owens Community College). I am currently certified First Aid/CPR Instructor, PBS (Positive Behavior Intervention) certified instructor. Open Hands is very excited to be a big promotor of education. I as well as seven other members of the team teach the PATHS Course.
